NEW CLIENT CONSULTATION
Please read the following information thoroughly.
Ombré eyebrow tattooing is a cosmetic tattooing technique that creates the illusion of fuller, defined, natural-looking eyebrows. It involves gradually shading the eyebrows in layers to build up darker ends and lighter fronts.
Cosmetic Tattooing is considered a permanent procedure as you cannot wash your result off. However, your body will naturally metabolise the pigment slowly over the years. It generally lasts 1-10 years and can last even longer. Traces of pigment will always be present.
Our line of pigments are carbon-based and contain no nickel or heavy metals. The ingredients are a combination of powdered pigments, glycerin, witch hazel, isopropyl alcohol, distilled water, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, aqua, rosin, and DMDM hydantoin. These are safe, non-reactive substances that have been specifically designed & manufactured for implantation into the human skin. They are gamma-ray sterilised, vegan, and cruelty-free.
The pigments that will be used are carefully selected to suit you. The pigment colours are chosen by assessing the following factors: your skin tone, the colour of your hair, the colour of your eyes and other factors such as personal preference.
The shape will be carefully mapped and measured, then drawn during your consultation, you will have many opportunities to assess this process and tattooing will only begin once you have agreed that you are happy to proceed and that you love the shape of your eyebrows.

Pain level: Most people find that the procedure is extremely tolerable and would rate their pain a 1/10. If you are experiencing discomfort, a numbing cream or gel can be used to make your experience more tolerable.
Preparing for your appointment: It is important that you prepare for your appointment to promote proper healing, reduce the risk of complications, reduce discomfort and ensure optimal results.
- Refrain from active skincare that will thin/sensitise the skin on your face six weeks prior to your appointment. (Retinoids, Alpha-Hydroxy Acids, Chemical Peels etc.)
- Do not consume any alcohol, fish oil, caffeine, or take any blood thinners such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen or Niacin 48 hours before your procedure; this may cause excess bleeding and may affect your results. If you are medically prescribed blood thinners and rely on them, please let us know.
- It is not possible to tattoo over any blemishes, sores, sunburn or moles in or around the brow area.
- Cosmetic botox or fillers should be done two weeks prior or two weeks after your appointment.
- You will not be able to receive a tattoo service if you are pregnant or planning on pregnancy.
- You will not be able to receive a tattoo service if you are prone to keloid scarring.
- You will not be able to receive a tattoo service if you have used Vitamin A, within the last six months. (Isotretinoin, Accutane, Retinol)
Post-appointment aftercare: Just like any cosmetic procedure, the full healing process can take much longer than the initial healing process.
The entire healing process can take up to six weeks.
The first ten days are crucial for the healing process, and 90% of your result will depend on how well you look after them.
- You must clean your face with fragrance-free make-up wipes or with a damp face washer.
- You cannot get your healing eyebrows (soaking) wet for the duration of the initial healing process (7-10 days).
- You must keep your eyebrows (which are wounds) extremely clean. You can do so by gently wiping them daily with a fragrance-free make-up wipe and micellar water or gently washing them with warm soapy water. Please ensure you pat the area dry with a clean tissue immediately afterwards to ensure the scab doesn’t fall off prematurely.
- Aftercare ointment needs to be applied daily (after the initial 48 hours).
- You will be unable to exercise for the duration of the initial healing process. Exercising will promote sweating which will cause the pigment to push out of the skin, leaving you with a patchy result.
- You cannot be exposed to direct sunlight during this period.
Around five days after your procedure, exfoliation will begin to take place. This means that the top layer of the skin will begin to peel off, leaving a softer, lighter colour below.
After this entire process is completed, you can return back to your normal routine.
Long-Term Care: As cosmetic tattoos age, the pigments beneath your skin may alter over time.
The pigments initially implanted into your dermis will break down at different speeds; this is because some molecules are harder for your body to metabolise, and some molecules cannot be metabolised at all. If your body is holding onto certain molecules, it is common to be left with hues of colours, which may require neutralisation. Neutralisation is the process of implanting complementary pigments to attempt to bring the colour back to its original state.
